Fleet opens the door to fully-integrated, next-generation mining operations that enhance safety, reduce costs and maximize productivity

TRACK, MANAGE AND ASSIGN ALL TYPES OF EQUIPMENT, ACROSS ONE SITE OR MANY

Fleet enhances the management of all types of equipment operations, across one mine site or multiple sites. It also allows you to easily drill down for more detailed views and analysis, from reporting on selectable groups of assets down to individual machines.

With the capability to run scenarios that help determine the impact of operational changes prior to implementing them, Fleet makes it easy to keep your operation running safely and at peak performance, with real-time control.

Fleet can work with data from all types of assets and equipment—including off-highway trucks, wheel loaders, motor graders, wheel dozers, shovels, light duty vehicles and equipment from other manufacturers—helping you reduce costs per ton, enhance productivity and boost overall site profitability.

  • Production – Provides real-time visibility of loading performance, delivers improved shovel loading performance and increases payload predictability.
  • Position & Material – Monitors material movement and type, alerts operators and planners of misroutes to ensure material is moved to the proper location. Also monitors machine location for the entire fleet and incorporates playback function to analyze dump movement and haul road congestion.

Terrain

Scalable and configurable, Terrain delivers next generation management and guidance for drilling, dragline, grading and loading operations

With powerful tools that aid in everything from drill planning and blasting to ore control and mine planning, Terrain enables more timely and effective fact-based management of all drilling, dragline, grading and loading operations.

An in-cab display of grade and drill plans shows operators the exact position of their machine within its work zone, along with work to be done and work completed. The display also highlights avoidance zones and other information to enhance job site safety and machine efficiency. In addition, Terrain makes a wealth of management data available through a single, integrated office software system.

AUTONOMOUS SOLUTIONS FOR DRILLING, HAULING, DOZING, LONGWALL AND UNDERGROUND
Working with other Cat® MineStar System capability sets, Command brings together the technologies needed for fully-integrated operation of autonomous, semi-autonomous and remotely-controlled mining systems. Command is proven to work seamlessly with and around all mine site activities, equipment and personnel, helping you work safely and productively in a wider range of challenging environments.
Varying Levels of Operator Control
Taking advantage of proven systems and technologies, as well as significant advances in remote sensing and guidance, Command delivers a range of equipment systems that require varying levels of operator involvement.Remote control technology requires human operators for most machine functions, but removes the operators from the equipment itself. These systems enable operators to works from a safe location that may be well away from the physical job site.

Semi-autonomous systems allow operators to work from a remote location while automating significant portions of the work cycle, relieving operators of some of the most tedious or demanding tasks.

Autonomous solutions entirely eliminate the need for human machine operators.  The machines are directed by a control system that tells them where to go and what to do, but their on-board intelligence systems “decide” on their own how to navigate to the prescribed work area and accomplish the assigned tasks.  Caterpillar will be releasing autonomous products in the coming months, including Command for hauling and Command for drilling.

All these solutions result in safer overall mine sites, with reduced human presence on the site itself. Plus, operations have the potential to be more efficient and productive, with less chance for operator injury or error.
